The symbol and superstition of the evil eye are one of the strongest symbolic images in the world, first recorded by the Mesopotamian about 5,000 years ago in cuneiform on clay tablets. However, despite the evil eye differences in various cultures, it keeps roughly the same meaning no matter where the story is told- the evil eye is a curse believed to be cast by an unintentional malevolent glare just by evil or jealousy, which is usually directed towards you when you are unaware.
Face it, we're all special in our own ways, and believe it or not, there are some people out there that don't have the best intentions for you. When a person wears or carries an evil eye with them- it guards against all that negativity. It also brings you good luck and protects you from any harmful things in your life.
Being Turkish, I grew up constantly seeing this symbol around and wearing an evil eye necklace or bracelet so I thought I'd recreate something of my liking that I could keep on me at all times.
